Description

Welcome to the Studio Electronics Omega series! The CODE Omega 8 is the world’s first completely programmable discrete analog synthesizer.

What to expect

Phat, Commanding, Dimension Building, TRUE ANALOG SOUND, in spine tingling stereo. For entire songs worth of processing, use each voice’s auto triggering external input; and each voice capable of having up to four selectable filters, that’s a lot of processing. Just the beginning. Heaps of modulation, a user loving operating system, arpeggiating, and multitimbrality.

The Code features 8 sinewave generators for Oscillator 1 and the brilliant new Filter Control Section which allow sweeping and tweaking the discrete filter types in real time (as opposed to unreal?), set this NovaMusik-partnered Omega Series Synth apart from our beloved, standard issue Omega 8s. Clever switches in the Filter Control Section also contribute to the CODE's expressiveness via momentary control of assignable parameters, and full panel control—secluded behind veils of edit windows in the Omega—of the auto-triggering External Audio Input, jack you wholly into the synth's processing and punctuating power.

All models are available in an "OD" version; as in warm and fuzzy classic analog amp overdrive for each stereo voice. All versions are expandable up to 8 voices from Mono up to 2, 4, &, 8 voice cards.

Velocity As with a piano, the harder you hit a key, the louder the sound, unlike most organs which always produce the same loudness no matter how hard you hit a key. Aftertouch Pressing a key after you activated it. Channel Aftertouch, no matter which key, it will send a Channel message. Poly Aftertouch, sends the pressure per key instead of the whole channel.
Values for OSC, LFO, Filter, Envelope are per voice unless stated otherwise.
